A few things you might be wondering.
What does Spin Defender help my player practice?
Spin Defender is an app-controlled hockey trainer for stickhandling, puck protection and reaction drills. Its moving sticks give players an obstacle to work around while they practice keeping control of the puck. It can be used at home or on the ice.
Do we need more than one defender?
One is enough to start individual stickhandling practice. Choose two when you want more obstacles and routes through a drill. Three suit coaches building several training stations. You can start with one and add more later.
Do I need to buy an app or a separate remote?
PotentSpin is a free download for iPhone and Android. iPhone requires iOS 15.6 or later; check Android device compatibility on Google Play. A Bluetooth connection is required. Use the app to start, stop and adjust the defender. This V2 model does not include a separate remote.
How is Spin Defender powered?
Spin Defender is rechargeable and charges from a wall outlet.
Can my player use it at home?
Yes, on a smooth, flat hockey training surface or synthetic ice, such as our Potent Skateable Ice Tiles. Leave enough clear space for the sticks to rotate and the player to move around the defender. Spin Defender also works on real ice.
How would a coach use several defenders?
Set up more obstacles within a stickhandling drill or use the defenders at separate practice stations. The PotentSpin app lets a coach control two or more defenders from one phone.
Is it right for my child’s age?
Spin Defender is recommended for players aged 8 and up. Start at the slower speed and choose drills that suit your player’s current puck-control skills. Move to the faster speed when they are ready for more of a challenge.
Where can I check delivery and returns?
Spin Defender V2 is available in Canada and the United States. Delivery options and taxes are shown at checkout. Return requests are accepted within 180 days of receiving your order, including discounted orders and bundles. Contact us before returning it. Items must be in good working condition, with all original parts and proof of purchase. Returns are subject to inspection and approval. See our shipping and return policies for full terms.

Customer video · Originally shared on Amazon★★★★★“Love this! My son can use this alone outside to practice stickhandling. It’s easy to use.”
★★★★★“The app has also been simple to use. Pairing was quick and stable on my phone, and changing the speed or movement settings takes very little effort.”
★★★★★“The adjustable speed is especially useful because it lets the trainer grow with the player. Slower movement is good for learning control and developing technique, while increasing the speed turns it into much more of a reaction drill.”
